Shamvura Camp sits on the banks of the Kavango River, one of Namibia's most overlooked and rewarding destinations. While the country's south draws the crowds to dunes and desert, up here in the north the landscape shifts to riverine forest, papyrus reed beds and dense miombo woodland.
The camp is small by design. We want guests to feel the quiet, not be surrounded by activity. Wake up to the bark of baboons, the splash of a hippo and the Kavango rolling past. Spend your days on the river, in the forest, or simply watching Namibia's most productive birdlife work the waterways.
